How to Use

  • Strip outer layer of shrink wrap at the perforation to reveal the tube for the cylinder of gas
  • Remove the black cap and place on the bottom of the tube. Either remove your cylinder of gas or use it while in the tube
  • Attach regulator to cylinder and use cylinder until empty
  • When gauge reads zero, remove regulator and pull cylinder out of tube
  • Next, simply strip perforated section on the cylinder’s shrink wrap to reveal pre-paid return label
  • Place empty cylinder back into the tube and place the black cap back on. The shipper will scan the bar code on the pre-paid shipping label.
  • No paperwork to fill out!

Standard Smoke Test Kit for Qualitative Fit Testing

For qualitative fit testing of air purifying respirators this Smoke Test Kit offers everything needed for meeting OSHA’s protocol for fit testing with smoke. When activated, Stannic Chloride is a white colorless gas with a pungent odor. It fumes strongly in moist air forming white hydrochloric acid fume. The emitted tin compound has a strong odor that will provoke an involuntary reaction (i.e. coughing) by the test subject. Each kit includes a vinyl protective pouch, hand operated air bulb, breaker tool, poly tubing, six smoke tubes with caps and instructions. Each container averages 3-5 fit tests per tube.

The D16 quickly adapts to measure different gases by inserting the appropriate gas sensor module which retains all of the calibration and configuration settings for the target gas. An internal pump with a flexible wand is included for point sampling around suspect pipe fittings and confined spaces. Readings and settings are presented on a backlighted, resistive touch, color graphics LCD with a beeper to notify you of alarms and other events. Readings are recorded in .csv files (ASCII text, comma-separated values) and transferred to a PC using the supplied USB cable. No external application is required. The files may be opened with any text editor or directly by applications like Microsoft Excel. Power is provided from a rechargeable NiMH D-cell battery. The battery should be removed and charged in an external charger after each use. The battery is not used or even required when the device is connected to a USB port. The inlet port, located on the manifold lid, is fitted with a quick disconnect fitting to connect the flexible want. The wand can be used for probing closely around pipes and fittings and for sampled confined spaces without entering. The wand is lined with Teflon and is inert to nearly all vapors and gases. Flexible tubing may be connected to the inlet port to sample high gas concentration or those beyond the reach of the wand. Fluorocarbon based tubing is strongly recommended for measuring low concentrations of reactive gases. Other materials may be used for high range measurements where the adsorption of gas by the tubing is negligible or where you are probing or significant leaks. The internal walls of the wand and any inlet tubing must be kept dry. Water on the walls may absorb soluble gases and decrease the gas readings, presenting an unsafe condition. If the inside of the wand or tubing gets wet, dry dry air through it for 10-15 minutes.

The PortaSens III is supplied in a padded carrying case for easy storage and transport. Space is provided for an extra battery plus up to two sensor keepers, which means up to 8 extra sensors ready for immediate use. Each PortaSens III includes the detector, spare filters, 10″ Teflon lined sampling wand, flowmeter, USB cable, spare NIMH “D” cell battery, sensor keeper and calibration”T” fitting. The basic PortaSens III detector does not include sensor modules. Because the PortaSens III is designed to accept any gas sensor, you can select one or more sensor modules. 521 Organic Vapor Badges from Assay Technologies
521 Organic Vapor Badges are the perfect badge for testing for organic vapors. There are covers on each side of the monitor that can be removed to double the sampling rate. Even with only one cover removed the monitor samples approximately at 30 mL/min, depending on the chemical. Use this badge for monitoring of chemicals with a low PEL (10 ppm or less), STEL monitoring or for Indoor Air Quality situations. Note: There are a few chemicals that have PELs at 10 or below but are too volatile to be reliably collected by this fast sampling diffusive monitor.

The Honeywell BW Ultra is a portable 5 gas detector designed specifically for sampling and monitoring confined spaces, before and after entry. Honeywell BW Ultra offers unmatched sensor technology, visibility on gas readings, comfort and connectivity. This makes it the most reliable and user friendly way to prevent a safety incident. When you are sampling gases in a confined space, you need to constantly watch the reading on your gas detector and the Honeywell BW Ultra makes them easy to see. The detector has a 3.2″ screen and very high resolution, so you can quickly determine the level of each gas. It stands up to harsh condition. With a very high rating of IP66/68 the Honeywell BW Ultra is protected not only from dust but also from water ingress (high pressure spray or submersion up to 3.9′). So if you drop the Ultra in a vat or take it into a dust prone environmental, you can fell completely confident that is will continue to operate. Unlike gas detectors that you wear, the Ultra is a detector that you hold as you sample the air in a confined space. That is why we designed the Ultra to fit the shape of your hand with a comfortable weight and a slimmer profile than other 5 gas detectors to prevent fatigue and increase productivity. Plus it has 1 button operation. The Honeywell BW Ultra simultaneously detects the 4 gases you are required to monitor in confined spaces: oxygen, hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide and combustibles at the LEL. plus there is a 5th sensor for the gas of your choice, ranging from sulfur dioxide to chlorine to volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Honeywell BW Ultra is compatible with the Honeywell Safety Communicator mobile app, which means that vital gas readings on the detector are no longer limited to the confined space attendant who is using it. The detector’s gas readings and location can be instantly sent via Bluetooth to Honewell’s real time monitoring software, viewable from a control room or other remote locations. The Ultra features “Hole Watch Mode” which shows the concentration of each gas plus a graph next to every reading that shows how close the gas is to the point of alarm. You can see how fast each gas level is climbing, so you can correct small problems before they cause worker injury, evacuation or complete shutdown. The Ultra uses the new 1-Sensor technology with small size. These sensors deliver consistently accurate readings, standing up to temperatures from -40 to 60°C. The 1-Series sensors last up to 5 years, depending on their gas exposure. With that long sensor life, backed by a 3 year warranty on the Ultra you can have confidence in your detector performance while reducing your cost of ownership. Honeywell’s TouchConnect Technology brings Bluetooth technology to gas detection users. GasAlertMicro 5 Series Combustible Gas Detector includes PID & IR Sensors
Simultaneously monitor and display up to five atmospheric hazards with the BW Technologies GasAlertMicro 5 Gas Detector. Adaptable to a variety of applications, the GasAlertMicro 5 Series has an extensive selection of user settable field options and is available as either a standard toxic gas model, a PID model for the detection of VOCs or an IR model for carbon dioxide detection. Use the passcode function to prevent unauthorized modifications of the instrument’s settings. The GasAlertMicro 5 combustible gas detector is fully compatible with BW’s MicroDock II automatic test and calibration system and Fleet Manager 2 desktop software. Please note: due to board and sensor configuration the GasAlertMicro 5 models are not interchangeable (ie, a PID sensor cannot be used in a IR configured unit).

BW Clip Real Time Gas Detector for H2S, CO, O2 and SO2
The BW Clip Real Time (RT) single gas detector by Honeywell is part of Honeywell Clip maintenance free family of single gas detectors. It provides the same great functionality as the BW Clip, plus the addition of a real time gas level display and the ability to calibrate the device; providing more solutions to meet your gas detection needs. Gases detected includes Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) , Carbon Monoxide (CO), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), Oxygen (O2) Clip Real Time provides real time readings of atmosphere gas concentration levels. It can be calibrated and is compatible with the MicroDock II and IntelliDoX instrument management system. When using IntelliDoX, you can bump test each detector in fewer than 10 seconds and change the factory alarm setpoints to meet your requirements.

The Honeywell BW Solo Single Gas Detector has everything you expect plus additional features to make your compliance easier and more cost-effective than ever. All with a reliable life span, one button operation and a small, lightweight profile. No need to take apart the Solo to replace components. To change out the sensor filters, just pop off a door on the front of the detector, no screwdriver required. Sensor and battery replacement are also easy. Numerous sensors are available including: hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, oxygen, sulfur dioxide, hydrogen, ammonia, chlorine, nitrogen dioxide, hydrogen cyanide, ozone, ethylene oxide, phosphine, nitrogen oxide and chlorine dioxide. The Solo features the new 1-Series that delivers fast response, reliable performance and long life, even in extreme environments. The 1-Series sensor has a compact square design, with one third the height of the industry standard sensor. That means a lighter, slimmer detector plus faster sensor response time, because the gas diffuses into it more quickly. No need to worry about sensors wearing out quickly, adding cost and downtime. Instead the 1-series sensors lasts up to 5 years, depending on gas exposure, along with a 3 year warranty. Despite the small size, these sensors delivery consistently accurate readings, standing up to temperature from -40°C to 60°C plus transient pressure, humidity and other environmental extremes. To optimize safety, compliance and productivity, use Honeywell BW Solo with IntelliDoX docking stations and SafetySuite Software. Simply place the detector in the dock and it automatically transfer the test results and performs the actions you choose. You can to a bump test, change set points, enable calibration and /or bump reminders, update firmware and more. The Solo is easy to operate even if you are wearing gloves. using this button you can easily configure set points, latching alarms and other parameters. Also access measurements for short term exposure limit (STEL), time weighted average (TWA) and the highest concentration of gas detected in the past 24 hours. Want to quickly determine whether a detector is in compliance? Just activate Honeywell’s patented IntelliFlash. CEL-620 Integrating Real Time Analyzer from Casella USA
Ideally suited to a wide range of industrial noise measurement applications, the CEL-620 Integrating Real Time Analyzer uses the latest technology to give high standards of performance in a compact design. The CEL-620 meter is designed to satisfy this need and to enhance it by providing the capture and display of the highest maximum level and lowest maximum level together with the integrated time average level. A super wide 120 dB dynamic range means that the user does not need to worry about changing scales as it will always be on the correct scale and the provision of all the popular frequency and time weightings allow many different measurements to be taken by new and experienced user alike. A full color high precision, graphic LCD enhances the user experience with this new meter. The CEL-620 series was designed with ease of use in mind. The menu structure is designed to pick up and use without the use of a manual. A simple icon structure is used with word prompts for each selection. The instruments has six selectable set-ups. Four pre-defined set-ups can be used to satisfy local workplace noise legislation. Two user set-ups can be defined to display parameters and weighting as required. Regardless of the setup used, the 620 measures and stores all parameters and weighting even if not selected. These can be viewed if necessary on the software. Up to 100 measurements can be stored without the need to download. All runs are date and time stamped. When connected to a PC via the USB connection, the 62x acts like a memory card, so data files can be moved to a PC and easily reviewed without the need for software. All 62x models are integrating so measure average noise levels as well as peak levels for workplace noise legislation. CEL-620A model also simultaneously measure Lc and La used withing the HML method for selection of hearing protection. In addition, the CEL-620B model performs real time octave and analysis from 16Hz to 16kHz, values which are used in the octave band method for selection of hearing protection. If future requirements change, any instrument can be upgraded to a higher model without returning to Casella.

The CEL-630 series is designed to make workplace noise measurements as quick and simple as possible. The displayed information can be made as simple or comprehensive as required and all measurement parameters are stored simultaneously, so no incorrect measurements can be made. When the unit is calibrated with the CEL-120 calibrator, the calibration dates and times are stored and downloaded to Casella Insight software, validating the accuracy of measurements. Average, peak and octave band measurements are performed at the same time, so only one measurement needs to be made for all workplace noise applications.

Data can be marked to signify any significant events, the data from which can be removed afterwards in the Insight software. Up to 60 hours os audio files can be stored, commonly used for noise source identification. Stored audio can be played back on the instrument using headphones or downloaded to Casella Insight software. For unattended monitoring, even mode (CEL-633) allows trigger levels (dB) to be set, so additional data is stored together with the audio file for later play back or analysis, as well as a profile down to 10ms intervals. An environmental noise monitoring kit is available which protects the instrument and microphone from the weather and allows unattended monitoring for up to 10 days.

There are 2 models available. Select your frequency analysis requirements by adding ‘A’ for broadband, ‘B’ for octave band and ‘C’ adds 1/3 octave. Then add either a 1 or a 2 to denote the accuracy class. Each instrument comes complete with a standard kit case, windshield and calibration certificate.

The dBadge2 has a multiple simulated dosimeter capability to display noise exposure results according to differing regional or international protocols. Regardless of what you have displayed the dBadge2 always measures all parameters together. This helps ensure the correct parameters are always measured and you can choose how many parameters to display.

With it’s two button operation, the dBadge2 couldn’t be easier to use. After switching the dBadge2 on, apply the acoustic calibrator and press one button to perform calibration. Then hold both keys down to start a measurement. Each unit features lockable keys and display, automatic detection of acoustic calibrator, a color coded display and is easy to mount on the employees shoulder.

The dBadge2 is rated intrinsically safer for use in flammable atmospheres.

Different models of the dBadge2 are available with advanced functions depending on your requirements. Microdust Pro Particulate Monitor from Casella USA

The CEL-712 Microdust Pro is a rugged, hand held, data logging instrument for real-time detection of airborne dusts, fumes and aerosols. The Microdust Pro can be used for spot checks and walk through surveys with the advantage of seeing instantly when and where excessive dust levels are occurring. The Microdust Pro is incredibly easy to use with a simple interface. A user can be taking a measurement within seconds of starting the instrument.

An optical insert is used on site that provides a spot check of the instrument’s calibration response. The screens are color coded to ease navigation, once a measurement is started they turn green or red when stopped. When taking a measurement, real time instantaneous and average levels are shown and subsequently stored to the memory for review later.

The instrument is factory calibrated using a method traceable back to isokinetic techniques and is conducted in a custom-built wind tunnel using ISO 12103-1 A2 Fine test dust (Arizona road dust equivalent). Each probe is also supplied with it own unique Calibration Insert, which creates a known optical scattering effect in the probe’s sampling chamber. This fixed reference can be used to confirm the original factory calibration point, although annual factory recalibration is recommended. While the Microdust Pro comes factory calibrated, by using an optional Apex2 Air Sampling Pump and gravimetric adaptor user defined dust type settings may be obtained. This means that the user can calculate a correction factor for the actual type of dust being measured and ensures maximum accuracy for their particular application.

The Microdust Pro can be downloaded to Casella Insight Data Management Software using the USB cable provided. Once downloaded, the time history of the dust level can be displayed and analyzed as necessary, so the times and extent of particularly “dusty” events can be seen. Measurements can be stored in relation to the person or area they were measured and reports can be produced showing the relevant data for multiple people or places as required.

Draeger Diffusion Tubes are direct reading, scaled tube that can be used for determining time weighted average concentrations (TWA). The Draeger Diffusion Tubes are direct reading, scaled tubes that can be used for determining time weighted average concentrations. The tubes work by passive gaseous diffusion and can be used over a period of 8 hours or longer in some cases.

Designed as a personal monitor, the diffusion tubes also can be used for area monitoring. The diffusion tubes are used with an ultralight plastic reusable holder which attached to clothing and protects the tube during use. The time weighted average can be calculated at any time during the measurement by simply dividing the length of the tube reading by the elapsed sampling time (in hours).

Draeger Comfort Vest Cooling Vest
When work gets hot, the Draeger Comfort Vest CVP 5200 is always ready to use because it delivers the cooling action itself. This means no pre-freezing, no dipping into water, no risk due to dangerous circulating air and no time loss. The Draeger Comfort Vest helps to absorb excess body heat and offers comfort for the wearer when working in high temperature surroundings or performing tasks that are physical enough to cause excessive sweating. It will also rehabilitate after working in hot climates. The vest’s cooling action is derived from 20 individual PCM-elements (Phase Change Material) integrated into the inner lining. When the user’s skin temperature reaches 82°F, whether performing tasks that are physical enough to cause sweating or working in high temperature surroundings, the content of the PCM-elements gradually becomes liquid by absorbing the excessive heat. This reduces skin temperature by approximately 5-7°F. Depending on the level of physical work and the ambient temperature, the cooling benefit for the wearer of the Draeger Comfort Vest can last up to four hours. When the vest is stored at a temperature below 72°F, the cooling elements will regenerate within 30 minutes to 4 hours, depending on the ambient temperature. The cooler the temperature, the sooner the vest will be ready to be worn again. Extensive preparatory and post-work activities – as with ice vests – are no longer necessary. The arrangement of the PCM-elements provides high freedom of movement thanks to the flexible fit. ORSA Passive Organic Vapor Samping Badges

The ORSA is a diffusion sampler for monitoring organic compounds. The contaminant molecules from the ambient air are adsorbed by the activated charcoal which is later analyzer using laboratory methods.

ORSA is used to determine average concentrations from 1 to 8 hours and for the investigation of lower concentration ranges over prolonged periods of time (e.g. 168 hours for the sampling of perchloroethylene). The ORSA includes 5 samplers, holders and shipping vials. The ORSA 25 includes 25 samplers, 10 holders and 25 shipping vials.

X-act 5000 Automatic Tube Pump for Draeger Tubes
The automatic X-act 5000 tube pump is the first all in one solution designed for measurements with Draeger short term tubes and for sampling tubes and systems. Ease of operation and a high degree of reliability compliment the measurement and sampling of gases, vapors and aerosols. The automatic tube pump is compatible with Draeger short term tubes as well as sampling tubes and systems. The robust housing supports the use of  the pump to perform the daily measuring tasks under tough conditions. The components of the pump are corrosion resistant and the pump is additionally equipped with a user replaceable filter which traps sulfur trioxide aerosols protecting the pump for up to two years. The display is backlit to enable use of the pump under poor lighting conditions. All Draeger short term tubes and accessories can be used with the Draeger X-act 5000. The IS approved Draeger X-act 5000 can be used for confined space applications and in explosive gas atmospheres – always ready wherever fast and reliable on-site measurements are required. The key principle is the ability to provide the required flow characteristics of the Draeger short term tubes, while also providing the option to be used with sampling tubes and systems requiring constant flow. Compared to the Draeger accuro hand pump, this new concept reduces the average measurement time of the Draeger short term tubes in case of a high number of strokes. The internal pump is also designed to use extension hoses up to a length of 30 M. The handling of gases, vapors and aerosols has never been easier. The automatic tube pump directs the air to be measured through the appropriate Draeger Tubes effortlessly. It is comfortably carried with one hand or using the shoulder strap and is easily operated, even wearing protective gloves. A simple and intuitive menu structure provides the user efficient operation with just a few button presses. Using the password protected menu repetitive operating modes can be set. A barcode printed on the label on the backside of a Draeger short term tube box contains all relevant measurement parameters. Simply sliding the barcode over the barcode reader of the pump, automatically transfers the name of the substance to be measured, the number of strokes and the measuring range of the display. The required steps to carry out the measurement are simplified with the X-act 5000 and the possibility of making an error is reduced to a minimum. Draeger short term tubes are calibrated for measurement in ambient air. To evaluate measurements in technical gases, the properties of the technical gas must be taken into consideration. Technical gases have a different viscosity than ambient air. Therefor, the flow of the pump must be set accordingly. Following the operating steps in the mode, Measurement in Technical Gases, the X-act 5000 will automatically be adjusted to the require flow parameter and the measurement result can be read directly. Depending on the sampling tubes or systems, the required parameters for the test can be set directly without the need for an external flowmeter. The X-act 5000 automatically adjusts the flowrate. After setting the sampling time the pump can immediately be started. At the end of the measurement the pump will stop automatically. The set data, the elapsed time and the pumped volume will be indicated on the display.

With the robust Draeger Pac 8000 single gas detectors, you will be well equipped for tough conditions. This non-disposable, personal single gas detection device is a reliable and precise instrument, which detector hazardous conditions of twenty nine different gases, including special gases like Nitrogen Dioxide, Ozone and Phosgene. The Micro IV docking station is a trendsetting device management system that greatly reduces cost of ownership and time needed for calibration.
