In areas such as painting or asbestos abatement, where levels of contamination are low, these complete Tyvek Supplied Air Systems offer a portable air source for one or two workers. Especially comfortable for bearded workers, the hood style SAR is lightweight and loose fitting, to fit comfortably over the head. A large clear window offers a wide view and complete protection in dirty environments such as spray painting or asbestos abatement. The convenient disposable design is perfect where respirator cleaning or decontamination if difficult. They include disposable, lightweight, loose fitting DuPont Tyvek hoods, a ¾ hp pump or 1 ½ hp pump and 50 or 100 foot of breathing air hose. NIOSH approval number TC-19C-331.
The lens is a clear 15 mil co-polyester (PETG) with a distortion free panoramic view 6″ x 12″. The suspension is a disposable one piece assembly and includes an absorbent foam headband. The adjustable Velcro closure head harness secures hood in place.
