SR500 PAPR Replacement Cartridges are available for the SR500 PAPR. For multiple hazards the cartridges can be snapped together. The P100 particulate filter should always be placed in front of the chemical cartridges. The SR500 PAPR must always be used with two particulate filters (SR510) or two combined filters consisting of chemical cartridges and particulate filters.
The SR533 CL/HC/SD/FM/AM/MA chemical cartridge are intended for use in the SR500 Powered Air-Purifying Respirator (PAPR) to provide protection against the following types of gases and vapors:
CL protects against Chlorine
HC protects against Hydrogen chloride
SD protects against Sulfur dioxide
FM protects against Formaldehyde
AM protects against Ammonia
MA protects against Methylamine
The SR532 OV/SD/CL/HC/HF chemical cartridge are intended for use in the SR 500 Powered Air-Purifying Respirator (PAPR) to provide protection against the following types of gases and vapors:
OV protects against Organic vapors
SD protects against Sulfur dioxide
CL protects against Chlorine
HC protects against Hydrogen chloride
HF protects against Hydrogen fluoride
The SR710 HE particulate filter is provided with a special thread and is designed for use in the Sundström SR500 Powered Air-Purifying Respirator (PAPR) as a separate particulate filter, i.e. it cannot be combined with a chemical cartridge. The filter is of HE type and provides protection against all types of particulate pollutants. If a combined filter for PAPR SR500 is needed, the chemical cartridge should be combined with the SR 510 particulate filter.
The P100 particulate filter is a mechanical filter that protects against all types of particles including dust, fumes, fog, spray, asbestos and even bacteria, viruses and radioactive dust. The filter separates 99.997% of the pollution in the air. That means that the air is 33,000 cleaner on the backside of the filter media than in the front. (The standard requires air 3.333 times cleaner.) A new feature is the increase of the filer area to 201 square inches. it provides the filter with extremely low breathing resistance and extended usage time.
