Description
The SR580 Loose Fitting Hard Hat with the SR584 Welding Face Shield together with the SR500 belt mounted Powered Air-Purifying Respirator (PAPR) protects against particulates, gases and vapors, or a combination of both. It is designed to be used in oxygen sufficient and non-immediately dangerous to life and health (IDLH) environments. The SR500 PAPR system functions as an alternative to Air Purifying Respirators (APR) in all situations for which these are recommended. This applies particularly to work that is hard, warm or of long-duration. The SR580/SR584 also protects against radiation and spatter during welding, flame-cutting, grinding and similar work. The design makes them useful for work in confined and inaccessible areas. Accessories in the form of automatic welding lenses, correction lenses, neck and chest protection and hose protection.
