- No Interferences From: hydrogen, methane, ethane, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide also in concentrations above 50 vol%, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide up to min. 1000 ppm (n=10).
- Interferences: Propane, butanes and acetylene will discolor the complete indicating layer without creating a color zone. Olefinic hydrocarbons (e.g. ethylene), aromatic hydrocarbons (e.g. benzene), hydrogen sulfide, will be indicated. The sensitivity varies. Shorter readings will result if the amount of aromatic hydrocarbons in the liquid gasoline exceeds 50 %.
