Cal 2000 Calibration Gas Generator for all Gas Detectors

Field replaceable, electrochemical generating cells provide a calibration standard for accurately testing chlorine, chlorine dioxide, hydrogen, hydrogen cyanide and hydrogen sulfide gas sensors.

The Cal 2000 is microprocessor controlled and has an LCD display allowing field adjustable ppm and flow rate. The generating cells are interchangeable and field replaceable. Best of all, the Cal 2000 provides up to 50 times as much calibration gas as a disposable cylinder at approximately the same cost. The electrochemical generating cells do not degrade over time.

The Cal 2000 gas generator has a built in mass flow sensor that automatically compensates for altitude and temperature. The mass flow sensor combined with the instruments internal pump, provide extreme flexibility for calibrating both diffusion and sample draw detection systems.

Cal 2000LT Calibration Gas Generator for Gas Detectors

Generating cells are rated at 10 or 25 hours and are available for chlorine, hydrogen, hydrogen cyanide and hydrogen sulfide. A gas concentration must be specified when ordering generating cells over a range of 1 to 25ppm in whole ppm increments. To change gas type or concentration simply insert a different cell into the instrument.

The Cal 2000 LT is microprocessor controlled and has an LCD display allowing easy user access to information such as cell life remaining, battery status, gas concentration and flow rate. The generating cells are interchangeable and field replaceable and come with a one year warranty.

The Cal 2000 LT gas generator has a built in mass flow sensor that automatically compensates for altitude and temperature. Both the Cal 2000 LT instrument and the gas generating cells are NIST certified ± 10% accurate for one year. Instruments and cells can be recertified at the factory. Best of all, when you are ready for more options or longer life cells, the Cal 2000 LT can be easily upgraded to the Cal 2000.

QC-50 Calibration Gas QuickCheck System

The QC-50 utilizes revolutionary technology allowing a functional check (or Bump Test) as needed or required by law. The unique QuickCheck Vials (QCV) utilize a stable, safe and reliable delivery method allowing ease of shipment, storage and use. The QC-50 is currently available for ammonia, hexane, hydrogen chloride and toluene.

The QCV used in the QC-50 are small, disposable vials with a small amount of the gas to be tested in liquid form in a sealed inner ampule. Breaking the inner ampule allows the liquid to absorb into a filter which then diffuses out the gas. Simply squeezing the hand aspirated bulb will allow a test concentration of gas to flow by the gas detector, verifying its operation. The QVC contains such a small amount of chemical it is non-hazardous for shipping, storage and disposal. And since the vials are sealed they have a very long shelf life compared to many other bump test methods.

Please Note: Vial concentration is approximate and is based upon a freshly opened vial at 70°F and ¼ LPM air flow. Refer to the manual for information on the approximate concentrations at differing temperatures and flow rates. Vial concentration is also depleted with use. Refer to the manual for information on the effect of use on vial concentration.

Before use verify that the filters in vial are blue. If the filters are white the vial no longer contains ammonia. If you suspect a vial has leaked or has an improper seal, Do Not Remove the foil cover. Warranty is voided as soon as the protective cover is removed or broken. Return the vial to ACD for evaluation and potential warranty replacement.

The QuickCheck Series of instruments and vials are not intended to be used for actual calibration of gas detection equipment. The QuickCheck is designed to give a simple test of instrument functionality with the gas type being monitored.

CAL 101 Gas Detector Calibration Gas Source

Field replaceable electrochemical generating cells provide a calibration standard for accurately testing chlorine, hydrogen sulfide, hydrogen and hydrogen cyanide sensors. CAL 101 Bump Station for all Gas Detectors

This new release of the GENie Calibration Gas Generator allows for a greatly expanded capability. The sources can be interchanged in the field to provide an array of calibration gases. Interchangeable calibration gases, combined with on-the-fly adjustable flow and concentration capabilities, make the GENie calibration system from ACD the most flexible and dynamic calibration system for all your sensor calibration needs. In addition, the GENie EC system provides for sample draw calibration utilizing a built in mass flow sensor to detect and adjust for varying sample draw rates for virtually any gas detection manufacturer you need to calibrate. AFC International's Universal Bump Test Station for Gas Detectors

The AFC International Bump Test Station is an easy to use device for the verification of sensor response of your multi gas or personal gas detectors. This simple bump test can be performed in less than 60 seconds and will give you the piece of mind that your instrument is responding to gas properly, prior to entering a confined space or dangerous gas area in a plant.

The wall mounted Bump Test Station can be modified to work with any make or model instrument on the market. A simple push of the start button activates the flow of test gas. A green light turns on, indicating the system is working. The flow meter on the front of the unit verifies that gas is flowing. In about 30 seconds all alarms on the instrument should be activated. If they are not, the instrument should not be used and then sent in for service. The station automatically shuts off after the selected time period and the green light goes out. AFC International uses quality gas standards that are certified accurate. The Bump Test Station can use any concentration of gas and cylinder sizes. We recommend that you use a gas concentration high enough to insure that all gas sensor alarms will be activated within a 30 to 60 second time period.

The Bump Test Station is a perfect compliment to any company’s calibration or maintenance schedule and can be customized to fit your gas detection program.The AFC International Bump Test Station is not intended to and/or should not be used to replace periodic instrument manufacturer’s recommended gas calibration interval! It is simply a test that can fill in the gaps between calibrations.

The ISEA passed a new statement in November 2009. This was after 2 1/2 years of debate. The definition of a bump test has now been expanded into two methods. There is now a qualitative (bump) and a quantitative (calibration check) for all gas monitors. The new statement is available here.

  • Simply strip off the perforated shrink wrap on the outer tube and place in the plastic tube

How to Use

  • Strip outer layer of shrink wrap at the perforation to reveal the tube for the cylinder of gas
  • Remove the black cap and place on the bottom of the tube. Either remove your cylinder of gas or use it while in the tube
  • Attach regulator to cylinder and use cylinder until empty
  • When gauge reads zero, remove regulator and pull cylinder out of tube
  • Next, simply strip perforated section on the cylinder’s shrink wrap to reveal pre-paid return label
  • Place empty cylinder back into the tube and place the black cap back on. The shipper will scan the bar code on the pre-paid shipping label.
  • No paperwork to fill out!

AFC International's Portable Universal Bump Test Station for Gas Detectors
The AFC International Portable Bump Test Station is an easy to use device for the verification of sensor response of your multi gas or personal gas detectors. This simple bump test can be performed in less than 60 seconds and will give you the piece of mind that your instrument is responding to gas properly, prior to entering a confined space or dangerous gas area in a plant or out in the field OSHA recommends that “gas detectors used for confined space entry must be tested with gas prior to use…” The Portable Bump Test Station meets this requirement and can be modified to work with any make or model instrument on the market that has an internal or attachable sample pump. The flow meter on the front of the unit verifies that the instrument’s sample pump is working properly and in about 30 seconds all alarms on the instrument should e activated. If they are not, the instrument should not used and sent in for service. We recommend that you use a gas concentration high enough to insure that all gas sensor alarms will be activated within 30 to 60 seconds. The Portable Bump Test Station is a perfect compliment to any company’s calibration or maintenance schedule and can be customized to fit your gas detection program.The AFC International Bump Test Station is not intended to and/or should not be used to replace periodic instrument manufacturer’s recommended gas calibration interval! It is simply a test that can fill in the gaps between calibrations.

M2 Multi-Mold Cassette

The M2 Multi-Mold Cassette is a two sided cassette for easier and more efficient use in the field and in the laboratory. The M2 is a disposable air sampling cassette for IAQ sampling and analysis, including home, commercial, inspection and restoration, as well as remediation operations. The M2 operates in accordance with well established fluid air dynamic principles. It uses standard pump and calibration equipment and the collected samples undergo routine laboratory preparation and quantification procedures.

The M2 is a patented two sided sampling cassette for easier and more efficient use in the field and in the laboratory. This is the first cassette to provide sampling options to field personnel.

The M2 cassette is also the very first of its kind for laboratory personnel. It provides one time preparation for two samples, pre printed traverse marks on the collection slide for standardized counting and side by side comparison of the samples under the microscope.

How the M2 Operates

The M2 incorporates standard impact design characteristics including a rectangular air inlet and exit slit. The cassette houses an appropriately positioned collection plate with a laboratory accepted proprietary adhesive media. The cassette operates at an optimal flow rate of 15 LPM for 10 minutes, 5 minutes and 1 minute, depending on the environment, and it can be used with commercially available sampling adapters.

Air particles are deposited onto the adhesive over a rectangular shaped area of approximately 16 square millimeters. The Multi Mold Cassette is a one of a kind, unique collection device.

Multi-Regulator Air Filtration Panels from Allegro Safety

Allegro air filtration panels filter impurities and hydrocarbons from an air compressor to convert to breathable air. A CO monitor is integrated to meet OSHA requirements for continuous monitoring of carbon monoxide levels. Each regulator can be individually adjusted at different pressure settings for different types of respirators and can also be used for supplying separate outlets for air tools. Allegroair Airline Cooling System
A low cost and portable means of cooling breathing air while keeping workers comfortable and productive for hours. This system is capable of reducing the air temperature from 180° F to as low as 50° F. The cooling system is connected to a high pressure breathing source, such as a filtration panel, cascade system or compressor, not to exceed 150 psi, through a 5′ long inlet supply airline using a heavy duty Hansen coupler. Air flowing through the FDA Grade PVC temperature cooling coil inside the 70 quart cooler reduces the air temperature by having ice poured onto and around the coil. Coils are separated to allow ice to surround hose. The outlet air is filtered at the end of the coil line by a 5 micron particulate air filter, which removes condensation that may build up in the hose. The pressure regulator includes a pressure gauge and adjustable knob with locking ring. Single outlet coupler can adapt to 3-Worker Manifold. A-300 Ambient Air Pump

This pump is designed to be used outside the contaminated work environment to bring clean, breathable air into supplied air respirator or hood. This pump offers a low cost air source when a compressor is not available. It is portable, and oil-less, producing no carbon monoxide, oil vapor or oil mist, thus eliminating the need for carbon monoxide monitoring and alarm system. The A-300 is ideal for a super portable, lightweight air source for a single respirator user. Sold performance in applications of one worker painting, cleaning, sanding or chemical handling operations.

Half Mask Supplied Air Systems from Allegro Safety

The complete kit offers a portable, lightweight air source for one, two or three workers. They are offered with one, two or three comfortable half mask supplied air respirators, a ¼ hp ambient air pump, ¾ hp pump or 1 ½ hp pump and 50 or 100 feet of breathing hose. This comfortable half mask offers low pressure continuous flow protection with the same unique over the shoulder hose and belt as the full face mask. It’s durable and easy to use and clean. The low profile design allows it to fit under welding shields.

The mask seal is durable silicone rubber maintains shape while in storage, hypoallergenic and chemical/ozone resistant and comfortable even in extreme heat and cold environments.

The down tube and belt assembly have a 90° elbow allows it to be directed over the shoulder and out of the way and is made of a corrugated material for flexibility.

NIOSH approved.

Full Face Mask Supplied Air Systems from Allegro Safety
The full face mask supplied air system provides a portable air source for one, two or three respirator users. They include one, two or three full mask supplied air respirators, a ¼ hp ambient air pump, ¾ hp pump or 1½ hp pump and 50 or 100 foot of breathing air hose. This comfortable full mask offers low pressure continuous flow protection with a unique over the should hose design and an adjustable belt holds the hose out of the way. It is durable and easy to use and clean.The mask is made of silicone rubber for durability and will hold its shape even in extreme heat or cold. It features a double sealing flange and deep chin pocket to provide an improved face to mask seal with a much improved and more comfortable fit. The lens is replaceable polycarbonate and offers a wider, distortion free viewing area with an anti-fog anti-scratch coating. The removable hairnet means greater comfort and fits easily under a hardhat. The low pressure unit includes and OBAC quick connect fitting while the high pressure includes a large diameter contoured exhalation valve. The down tube & belt assembly feature a 90° elbow that allows it to be directed over the shoulder and out of the way, and is corrugated flexible and lightweight material for greater comfort and less fatigue. Flow Test Kit for SARs
This Flow Test Kit checks the volume of air that gets to the respirator. A flow meter simply quick connects onto an airline hose to check the respirator system for NIOSH compliant air flows. The kit contains flow meter and a full assortment of quick connect plugs and adapters to fit all respirator manufacturer’s airline hoses. Excellent for use with ambient air pumps. NOTE: NIOSH mandates 4 CFM for tight-fitting masks and 6 CFM for hoods.

QC-50 Calibration Gas QuickCheck System
The QC-50 utilizes revolutionary technology allowing a functional check (or Bump Test) as needed or required by law. The unique QuickCheck Vials (QCV) utilize a stable, safe and reliable delivery method allowing ease of shipment, storage and use. The QC-50 is currently available for ammonia, hexane, hydrogen chloride and toluene. The QCV used in the QC-50 are small, disposable vials with a small amount of the gas to be tested in liquid form in a sealed inner ampule. Breaking the inner ampule allows the liquid to absorb into a filter which then diffuses out the gas. Simply squeezing the hand aspirated bulb will allow a test concentration of gas to flow by the gas detector, verifying its operation. The QVC contains such a small amount of chemical it is non-hazardous for shipping, storage and disposal. And since the vials are sealed they have a very long shelf life compared to many other bump test methods. AFC International's Universal Bump Test Station for Gas Detectors
The AFC International Bump Test Station is an easy to use device for the verification of sensor response of your multi gas or personal gas detectors. This simple bump test can be performed in less than 60 seconds and will give you the piece of mind that your instrument is responding to gas properly, prior to entering a confined space or dangerous gas area in a plant. The wall mounted Bump Test Station can be modified to work with any make or model instrument on the market. A simple push of the start button activates the flow of test gas. A green light turns on, indicating the system is working. The flow meter on the front of the unit verifies that gas is flowing. In about 30 seconds all alarms on the instrument should be activated. If they are not, the instrument should not be used and then sent in for service. The station automatically shuts off after the selected time period and the green light goes out. AFC International uses quality gas standards that are certified accurate. The Bump Test Station can use any concentration of gas and cylinder sizes. We recommend that you use a gas concentration high enough to insure that all gas sensor alarms will be activated within a 30 to 60 second time period. The Bump Test Station is a perfect compliment to any company’s calibration or maintenance schedule and can be customized to fit your gas detection program.The AFC International Bump Test Station is not intended to and/or should not be used to replace periodic instrument manufacturer’s recommended gas calibration interval! It is simply a test that can fill in the gaps between calibrations. The ISEA passed a new statement in November 2009. This was after 2 1/2 years of debate. The definition of a bump test has now been expanded into two methods.
