PortaSens III Gas Leak Detector from Analytical Technology
The ATI PortaSens II has been updated to the PortaSens III portable gas leak detector. The new PortaSens III is a rugged hand held device used to detect leaks of toxic or otherwise dangerous gas and also to detect oxygen displacement. The D16 quickly adapts to measure different gases by inserting the appropriate gas sensor module which retains all of the calibration and configuration settings for the target gas. An internal pump with a flexible wand is included for point sampling around suspect pipe fittings and confined spaces. Readings and settings are presented on a backlighted, resistive touch, color graphics LCD with a beeper to notify you of alarms and other events. Readings are recorded in .csv files (ASCII text, comma-separated values) and transferred to a PC using the supplied USB cable. No external application is required. The files may be opened with any text editor or directly by applications like Microsoft Excel. Power is provided from a rechargeable NiMH D-cell battery. The battery should be removed and charged in an external charger after each use. The battery is not used or even required when the device is connected to a USB port. The inlet port, located on the manifold lid, is fitted with a quick disconnect fitting to connect the flexible want. The wand can be used for probing closely around pipes and fittings and for sampled confined spaces without entering. The wand is lined with Teflon and is inert to nearly all vapors and gases. Flexible tubing may be connected to the inlet port to sample high gas concentration or those beyond the reach of the wand. Fluorocarbon based tubing is strongly recommended for measuring low concentrations of reactive gases. Other materials may be used for high range measurements where the adsorption of gas by the tubing is negligible or where you are probing or significant leaks. The internal walls of the wand and any inlet tubing must be kept dry. Water on the walls may absorb soluble gases and decrease the gas readings, presenting an unsafe condition. If the inside of the wand or tubing gets wet, dry dry air through it for 10-15 minutes.

The PortaSens III is supplied in a padded carrying case for easy storage and transport. Space is provided for an extra battery plus up to two sensor keepers, which means up to 8 extra sensors ready for immediate use. Each PortaSens III includes the detector, spare filters, 10″ Teflon lined sampling wand, flowmeter, USB cable, spare NIMH “D” cell battery, sensor keeper and calibration”T” fitting. The basic PortaSens III detector does not include sensor modules. Because the PortaSens III is designed to accept any gas sensor, you can select one or more sensor modules. Chip Measurement System (CMS) from Draeger

The Draeger CMS is ready for use after only a brief instruction. It makes no difference which gas or vapor you wish to measure – the instrument is used in the same way every time. The operation is guided by a menu on the display and a single button/switch. The display can be backlit. After an automatic system self-test, the analyzer is powered up and the measurement system is immediately ready for operation. Simply insert the chip, perform the measurement and read the measurement result displayed as a concentration on the screen. At the end of the measurement, the chip is automatically ejected from the instrument, and the analyzer shuts down. An audible signal sounds after each operating step. Power is supplied by 4 standard and easily replaceable batteries which are especially suited to the analyzer’s requirement. The battery capacity allows for more then 7 hours of measurement and is display on the screen.

The principle of mass current measurement ensures that the instrument remains unaffected by fluctuations in air pressure. Because the chips are calibrated before leaving the factory, there is no need for the user to calibrate the CMS. Any possible temperature and humidity effects are checked during factory calibration. The analyzer is explosion protected and certified in accordance with UL, UL/CAS and Cenelec. In addition, the system is protected against dust and splash water in accordance with IP54 and is resistant to electromagnetic waves.

To allow measurement at places which are difficult to access, a remote system is available. This comprises of an additional pump and extension hose is is connected to the back of the analyzer. Because the remote system is activated by its own switch, the system can remain attached to the analyzer. A telescopic probe can also be attached to the remote system.

A kit for emergency response is now available. It includes an analyzer, remote system, telescopic probe, 10 chips, flashlight/lantern, notepad and a chip case. Note: Chips marked with a (*) are included with this kit.

Simultaneous Tube Test Sets
The Simultaneous Tube Test Sets offer three different sets which are used with an adapter (purchased separately) and a Draeger Pump for the semi-quantitative determination of inorganic gases and organic vapors. Each test set is able to test for five different gases simultaneously in less than one minute. The sets provide on-site information to firefighters, Hazmat teams and environmental agencies. Please note: Draeger Tubes in the Simultaneous Test Sets are specifically calibrated to be used as a set. It is not recommended to mix tubes from any of the sets or use standard tubes with the Simultaneous Test Set Adapter.

The TraceX Explosives Detection Kit is designed to help identify bombers, bomb-makers and their bomb-making facilities. It detects the most common explosive materials and their precursors at trace levels in a single test. Explosives remain the weapon of choice for terrorists around the world. Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) are a threat from international terrorist organizations and local, home-grown terrorists as well. Sadly, Home Made Explosives (HMEs) and IEDs have become a fact of modern life. Military, law enforcement and intelligence personnel have a dual-role: uncovering the bomb networks and systems before the bombers do harm, and investigating an incident after it occurs. In many cases, detecting just a trace of explosive material can make all the difference. A traditional portable electronic explosive detection device requires a great deal of specialized training, a large budget and regular maintenance. While there is a need for these electronic portable trace explosive detectors and larger trace explosive detection systems, there is a growing demand for colorimetric explosive detection kits for use in the field. A number of these kits have existed for some time; however they often require the user to mix chemicals, perform serial analyses, conduct multiple swabs or tests, and then use a chart to interpret the results. Said plainly, existing colorimetric explosive detection kits are difficult to use, especially in stressful situations. Even worse, many colorimetric explosive detection kits can expose the user to dangerous chemicals, and expose the kit to contamination from the environment or the user, leading to unreliable results. Some colorimetric explosive detection kits can only be used for bulk detection; however explosive trace detection is critical in many real-world applications. The TraceX explosives detection kit is much more convenient. Simple to use and low cost, it is an explosive detector that can be used by every warfighter or law enforcement officer. With a single swab, the TraceX explosives kit detects all the major families of explosive materials and their precursors. Thanks to the TraceX’s simple color-change alert system, a single color indicates the presence of a particular family of explosive material. No longer does the user have to conduct serial tests, and then try to interpret the results. The TraceX explosives detection kit was developed by Morphix Technologies under contract from the US Department of Defense, so you know it’s tough. It is small enough to fit in a cargo pocket, lightweight and rugged. Each detection kit comes in its own disposable protective plastic case, so it will be ready to use when needed. No more broken ampules from rough handling, as can happen with other explosive detectors. And, the innovative collection system protects the sample from user contamination, so you can have confidence in the result. As the name implies, TraceX is sensitive enough to be used for explosive trace detection.  It detects bulk explosives too.

The VeriAir Flex Manual Inflating Sample Bags patented volumetric pump and sample bag design lets you rapidly collect an air sample in a bag, saving you time and money. Everything you need to collect a grab sample of air or gas is integrated into a simple, inexpensive system. You avoid the need for an additional electric pump, its required calibration and batteries. Unlike other gas sample bag collection methods there is no electric pump set up, no pump calibration, no required calibration equipment and no complex special training. It’s easy to use even for non-technical personnel. The VeriAir Flex requires no maintenance and no batteries to charge or replace. The VeriAir Flex is designed so anyone can use it, anytime, anywhere. The sampling bag is ideal for emergency response situations, where an atmospheric air sample can be collected in a hot zone and then moved to a safe zone to be immediately tested with a portable gas chromatograph or other analytical instrument. With the optional detector tube adapter, Gastec direct reading pre-calibrated detector tubes can be used to screen the sample for target gases for immediate action and then the sample can b sent for laboratory analysis. Unlike stainless steel canisters, there are no dilution gas or volume calculations required when sampled gas is removed for off-site laboratory analysis. Lightweight, compact and easily stores or carried, Nextteq’s intrinsically safe VeriAir Flex sample bag ha handles make of static charge dissipation materials and is always ready to collect an air sample anywhere, at anytime. Requiring no equipment prep, no battery charging or battery replacement and no calibration or other maintenance means that the VeriAir Flex is ideal for rapidly collecting an unknown nuisance aroma or odor at a moment’s notice and is ideal for emergency response, hazmat, HAZWOPER or everyday situations. The VeriAir Flex built in volumetric pump and valve allows you to rapidly and easily inflate and expel air from the sample bag several times before sample collection, thereby allowing absorption equilibrium of contaminants of the air sample onto the interior surface of the sample bag. flushing the sample bag before sample collection means you obtain a more accurate and reliable sample with more precise sample recovery. The analytical grade inner polyolefin lining is recommended for stable storage of most gases. When filled manually with the VeriAir Flex handles, the approximately 1 liter sample bag is protected by two sturdy, 4mm corrugated plastic panels for a more rugged product than the traditional sample bag. The analytical grade 6-mil, tear, puncture and friction resistant multilayer sample bag material has a nylon coated aluminum exterior and a polyolefin lining that is recommended for stable storage of most gases. Designed for air shipment, the VeriAir Flex incorporates reserve capacity that also the VeriAir Flex to expand to approximately 2 liters. The VeiAir Flex sampling bag can be shipped in airline cargo compartments pressurized up to 33,000 feet. The VeriAir Flex is rated for temperature of up to 176ºF and the multilayer bag material is rated at 5,8000 lbs tensile strength.

Typical Configurations include ProRae Guardian pre installed and pre configured in most Rae Systems Rapid Deployment Kit (RDK) System Packages. In addition, ProRae Guardian can be ordered separately and installed on a compatible Windows PC. The software is fully integrates with Rae Systems GPS Module V2.2 which supports either Tiger maps or optional MXD maps. All RDK System Packages include a PC with ProRae Guardian installed and pre configured, instruments, hardware, cables and all necessary ProRae Guardian instrument licenses for real time monitoring as well as full software support and upgrades for 5 years. Rae Systems’ ppbRae 3000 is a state of the art VOC gas detector for monitoring at the parts per billion (ppb) level. This device uses a new generation of photo ionization detector (PID) and features both temperature and humidity compensation for improved accuracy. It includes built in correction factors for over 200 compounds and is suitable for use in any hazardous environment. The ppbRae 3000 comes in a rugged housing that allows it to be IP65 certified while running and IP67 while off. It also features a large screen for ease of use and large buttons that allow it to easily be handled with gloves on. The new gen PIDs allow for detection of VOCs from1 ppb to 10,000 ppm whit a less than three second response time. Data can be transmitted from up to two miles away with the RaeLink3 wireless router for increased monitoring and fast incident response.

The MiniRae 3000 is the industry standard in volatile organic compound (VOC) detection. These PIDs have an extended range of 0-15,000 ppm and includes automatic humidity compensation. The Rae Systems by Honeywell MultiRae Pro is the industry leading wireless device that monitors both chemical threats and gamma radiation and is the only multi threat monitor with parts per billion precision. Accessories

The MultiRae external battery charger allows a MultiRae battery to be charged while it is not housed in the unit. This is ideal for anyone who runs their MultiRae’s 24/7 or on back to back shifts. Now a back up battery can be swapped in without subjecting the instrument to down time. This is a must have accessory. The external battery charger comes as a stand alone unit and requires a power power. An additional accessory is available to group 5 battery charges on a single plastic holder, all of which can be charged simultaneously using a spider charger.

The MultiColor boots for MultiRae allow for customization of the look of MultiRae units. This is especially convenient for customers who operate with several different configurations of MultiRaes. Instead of using labels, or other ways to differentiate MultiRaes, they can assign each instrument a color so that they ensure the right instrument is selected for a given task.

AreaRae Pro Wireless Multi Gas, Multi Threat Monitor
The Rae Systems by Honeywell AreaRae Pro is a wireless, transportable area monitor that can simultaneously detect toxic and combustible gases, volatile organic compounds, radiation and meteorological factors that affect speed, direction and behavior of gas – for enhanced situational awareness. It works with Honeywell’s remote monitoring software, so you can see the real time threat readings, alarm status, location of each AreaRae Pro and much more – and make faster, more informed safety decisions. The AreaRae Pro delivers maximum flexibility and versatility in one device by including up to six 4R+ sensors for toxic and combustible gas. The AreaRae Pro offers more than 20 interchangeable sensors that can be swapped at a moments notice to meet the changing needs of first responders. The new photoionization sensor monitors VOCs in part per billion with built in compensation for temperature and humidity. Honeywell’s compact RAEMet sensor sits at the top of the AreaRae Pro and measures wind speed, wind direction, temperature and humidity. This information is then modeled in Honeywell’s real time monitoring software which integrates the ALOHA hazard monitoring program. An optional gamma sensor for radiation detection is also available. It will detect and measure gamma radiation with increased sensitivity and faster response without using an additional sensor slot.

RaeLink3 Mesh Portable Wireless Modem with Integrated GPS

The RaeLink3 Mesh enables Rae Systems personal gas and radiation detectors and select 3rd party monitors to communicate wirelessly with ProRae Guardian safety monitoring software so that commanders and emergency response coordinators can make better decisions in real time. NAViSEER Precision Personal Tracking System from SEER Technology

NAViSEER Personnel Tracking System is an inertial navigation device with optional GPS capability. NAViSEER utilizes the latest technology and provides an interface for integration with both civilian and military GPS devices. By blending GPS and inertial navigation technology, NAViSEER is continuously calibrated for the user’s stride length and body offset.  This calibration enables up-to-date movement parameters when the user enters a GPS-denied or GPS-limited area and the DR device takes over.

The NAViSEER is a miniature, self-contained, electronic navigation unit for personnel on foot that provides user position relative to an initialization point.  The initialization point can be provided by an attached GPS device or inputted by the user.  Once an initialization point is configured, the relative position of the user is updated at user defined intervals on a visualization software display in the Command and Control (C2) Center.

In a burning 10 story building scenario, an entire Fire Battalion might be engaged. In many cases, a 7 man extraction team is positioned very near the scene, but remains otherwise unengaged unless a firefighter goes down. Once a firefighter is down, there is often no more than 3 minutes to get him/her out before it becomes a body extraction/recovery operation.

In many cases, the firefighter wears a Personal Alert Safety System (PASS) on their jacket. If a firefighter goes down, he/she hits a button on their PASS which sets off an audible alarm and a flashing strobe; however, there is nothing to indicate their exact location or even what floor they might be on. Seventeen lives were lost in 2007 that have been potentially attributed to PASS system failures, or the inability of the extraction teams to find the firefighter in time.

With the NAViSEER system, the GPS initialization point might be established at the Command and Control (C2) vehicle. From there, all NAViSEER-equipped firefighters could be tracked to their close approximate position on a specific floor as long as their radio equipment could still communicate with the C2.  A 2D or 3D visualization console is implemented within the C2 vehicle that allows controllers to visually track the movement and pinpoint the location of the NAViSEER-equipped firefighters at all times.

Our own SEER 3D software provides stunning console views of movement and location of NAViSEER-equipped personnel.  This visualization software can combine with or overlay available Geographical Information System (GIS) application information on the C2 monitors that receive the current position messages from the NAViSEER units attached to the firefighters. If their radios fail, the extraction team would at a minimum have a last known good position or last transmitted position from which to start their search.

There are biometric sensors available that can be interfaced/integrated with the NAViSEER. If that were the case in this scenario, the backup or rescue team would be able to tell if the downed firefighter was alive or potentially unconscious and unable to use his radio and could direct the appropriate response precisely to his/her position.

The NAViSEER rate of error is no more than 2% of distance traveled from the initialization point.  This means that if the user is in a GPS-denied or GPS-limited area and travels 100 meters, the user position is known to no more than a 2 meter radius around the displayed position, based on the initialization point or last known good point. The vertical or altitude accuracy is not dependent on time or distance and the maximum error is less than 1.4 meters.  Therefore, no matter how long or far the user has traveled in a GPS-denied or GPS-limited area, as long as the location signals can be transmitted back to the C2, the user position and altitude will be known.

Unlike other inertial navigation systems, the NAViSEER’s error characteristics are independent of time, and instead, depend primarily on distance traveled.  With NAViSEER, advanced motion classification algorithms analyze movement and compensate when the user is moving backwards, sideways, running, crawling, or just fidgeting in place.

The NAViSEER can be directly interfaced to most digital radios and GPS receivers – and optionally can be ordered with an internal GPS receiver.  NAViSEER is a reliable GPS supplement for personnel on foot.

The result of the SEER advancements in inertial navigation tracking is accurate positioning to within 2% of distance traveled – a capability not found in any other small scale, portable device.  Successful systems integration of inertial navigation in past programs has demonstrated that a reliable navigation supplement for personnel does not require sensors on the legs or feet, and can readily co-exist with equipment normally carried by a soldier or other user.

NAViSEER devices provide real time location data via radio back to C2 computers equipped with Geographical Information Systems (GIS)-based 2D or 3D visualization software. SEER3D software instantly generates 2D and 3D views of buildings and structures that reveal graphical visualization of movement and location for assets equipped with NAViSEER.

The POLI MP400P multi gas detector offers 1 to 5 gas monitoring of toxic gases, oxygen, combustibles, carbon dioxide and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The POLI MP400P is an advanced model with built in pump that allows a full selection of sensors for a wide range of application, including Confined Space Entry. Single Gas Detector The UNI MP100 offers a simple, personal protection for a wide array of toxic gas and oxygen measurement applications. PortaSens III Gas Leak Detector from Analytical Technology
The ATI PortaSens II has been updated to the PortaSens III portable gas leak detector. The new PortaSens III is a rugged hand held device used to detect leaks of toxic or otherwise dangerous gas and also to detect oxygen displacement. The D16 quickly adapts to measure different gases by inserting the appropriate gas sensor module which retains all of the calibration and configuration settings for the target gas. An internal pump with a flexible wand is included for point sampling around suspect pipe fittings and confined spaces. Readings and settings are presented on a backlighted, resistive touch, color graphics LCD with a beeper to notify you of alarms and other events. Readings are recorded in .csv files (ASCII text, comma-separated values) and transferred to a PC using the supplied USB cable. No external application is required. The files may be opened with any text editor or directly by applications like Microsoft Excel. Power is provided from a rechargeable NiMH D-cell battery. The battery should be removed and charged in an external charger after each use. The battery is not used or even required when the device is connected to a USB port. The inlet port, located on the manifold lid, is fitted with a quick disconnect fitting to connect the flexible want. The wand can be used for probing closely around pipes and fittings and for sampled confined spaces without entering. The wand is lined with Teflon and is inert to nearly all vapors and gases. Flexible tubing may be connected to the inlet port to sample high gas concentration or those beyond the reach of the wand. Fluorocarbon based tubing is strongly recommended for measuring low concentrations of reactive gases. Other materials may be used for high range measurements where the adsorption of gas by the tubing is negligible or where you are probing or significant leaks. The internal walls of the wand and any inlet tubing must be kept dry. Water on the walls may absorb soluble gases and decrease the gas readings, presenting an unsafe condition. If the inside of the wand or tubing gets wet, dry dry air through it for 10-15 minutes. Chip Measurement System (CMS) from Draeger
The Draeger CMS is ready for use after only a brief instruction. It makes no difference which gas or vapor you wish to measure – the instrument is used in the same way every time. The operation is guided by a menu on the display and a single button/switch. The display can be backlit. After an automatic system self-test, the analyzer is powered up and the measurement system is immediately ready for operation. Simply insert the chip, perform the measurement and read the measurement result displayed as a concentration on the screen. At the end of the measurement, the chip is automatically ejected from the instrument, and the analyzer shuts down. An audible signal sounds after each operating step. Power is supplied by 4 standard and easily replaceable batteries which are especially suited to the analyzer’s requirement. The battery capacity allows for more then 7 hours of measurement and is display on the screen. The principle of mass current measurement ensures that the instrument remains unaffected by fluctuations in air pressure. Because the chips are calibrated before leaving the factory, there is no need for the user to calibrate the CMS. Any possible temperature and humidity effects are checked during factory calibration. The analyzer is explosion protected and certified in accordance with UL, UL/CAS and Cenelec. In addition, the system is protected against dust and splash water in accordance with IP54 and is resistant to electromagnetic waves. To allow measurement at places which are difficult to access, a remote system is available. This comprises of an additional pump and extension hose is is connected to the back of the analyzer. Because the remote system is activated by its own switch, the system can remain attached to the analyzer. A telescopic probe can also be attached to the remote system. A kit for emergency response is now available. It includes an analyzer, remote system, telescopic probe, 10 chips, flashlight/lantern, notepad and a chip case. The TraceX Explosives Detection Kit is designed to help identify bombers, bomb-makers and their bomb-making facilities. It detects the most common explosive materials and their precursors at trace levels in a single test. Explosives remain the weapon of choice for terrorists around the world. Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) are a threat from international terrorist organizations and local, home-grown terrorists as well. Sadly, Home Made Explosives (HMEs) and IEDs have become a fact of modern life. Military, law enforcement and intelligence personnel have a dual-role: uncovering the bomb networks and systems before the bombers do harm, and investigating an incident after it occurs. In many cases, detecting just a trace of explosive material can make all the difference. A traditional portable electronic explosive detection device requires a great deal of specialized training, a large budget and regular maintenance. While there is a need for these electronic portable trace explosive detectors and larger trace explosive detection systems, there is a growing demand for colorimetric explosive detection kits for use in the field. A number of these kits have existed for some time; however they often require the user to mix chemicals, perform serial analyses, conduct multiple swabs or tests, and then use a chart to interpret the results. Said plainly, existing colorimetric explosive detection kits are difficult to use, especially in stressful situations. Even worse, many colorimetric explosive detection kits can expose the user to dangerous chemicals, and expose the kit to contamination from the environment or the user, leading to unreliable results. Some colorimetric explosive detection kits can only be used for bulk detection; however explosive trace detection is critical in many real-world applications. The TraceX explosives detection kit is much more convenient. Simple to use and low cost, it is an explosive detector that can be used by every warfighter or law enforcement officer. With a single swab, the TraceX explosives kit detects all the major families of explosive materials and their precursors. Thanks to the TraceX’s simple color-change alert system, a single color indicates the presence of a particular family of explosive material. No longer does the user have to conduct serial tests, and then try to interpret the results. The VeriAir Flex Manual Inflating Sample Bags patented volumetric pump and sample bag design lets you rapidly collect an air sample in a bag, saving you time and money. Everything you need to collect a grab sample of air or gas is integrated into a simple, inexpensive system. You avoid the need for an additional electric pump, its required calibration and batteries. NAViSEER Precision Personal Tracking System from SEER Technology
NAViSEER Personnel Tracking System is an inertial navigation device with optional GPS capability. NAViSEER utilizes the latest technology and provides an interface for integration with both civilian and military GPS devices. By blending GPS and inertial navigation technology, NAViSEER is continuously calibrated for the user’s stride length and body offset.  This calibration enables up-to-date movement parameters when the user enters a GPS-denied or GPS-limited area and the DR device takes over. The NAViSEER is a miniature, self-contained, electronic navigation unit for personnel on foot that provides user position relative to an initialization point.  The initialization point can be provided by an attached GPS device or inputted by the user.  Once an initialization point is configured, the relative position of the user is updated at user defined intervals on a visualization software display in the Command and Control (C2) Center. In a burning 10 story building scenario, an entire Fire Battalion might be engaged. In many cases, a 7 man extraction team is positioned very near the scene, but remains otherwise unengaged unless a firefighter goes down. Once a firefighter is down, there is often no more than 3 minutes to get him/her out before it becomes a body extraction/recovery operation. In many cases, the firefighter wears a Personal Alert Safety System (PASS) on their jacket. If a firefighter goes down, he/she hits a button on their PASS which sets off an audible alarm and a flashing strobe; however, there is nothing to indicate their exact location or even what floor they might be on. Seventeen lives were lost in 2007 that have been potentially attributed to PASS system failures, or the inability of the extraction teams to find the firefighter in time. With the NAViSEER system, the GPS initialization point might be established at the Command and Control (C2) vehicle. From there, all NAViSEER-equipped firefighters could be tracked to their close approximate position on a specific floor as long as their radio equipment could still communicate with the C2.  A 2D or 3D visualization console is implemented within the C2 vehicle that allows controllers to visually track the movement and pinpoint the location of the NAViSEER-equipped firefighters at all times. Our own SEER 3D software provides stunning console views of movement and location of NAViSEER-equipped personnel.  This visualization software can combine with or overlay available Geographical Information System (GIS) application information on the C2 monitors that receive the current position messages from the NAViSEER units attached to the firefighters. If their radios fail, the extraction team would at a minimum have a last known good position or last transmitted position from which to start their search. There are biometric sensors available that can be interfaced/integrated with the NAViSEER. If that were the case in this scenario, the backup or rescue team would be able to tell if the downed firefighter was alive or potentially unconscious and unable to use his radio and could direct the appropriate response precisely to his/her position. The NAViSEER rate of error is no more than 2% of distance traveled from the initialization point.  This means that if the user is in a GPS-denied or GPS-limited area and travels 100 meters, the user position is known to no more than a 2 meter radius around the displayed position, based on the initialization point or last known good point. The vertical or altitude accuracy is not dependent on time or distance and the maximum error is less than 1.4 meters.  Therefore, no matter how long or far the user has traveled in a GPS-denied or GPS-limited area, as long as the location signals can be transmitted back to the C2, the user position and altitude will be known. Unlike other inertial navigation systems, the NAViSEER’s error characteristics are independent of time, and instead, depend primarily on distance traveled.  With NAViSEER, advanced motion classification algorithms analyze movement and compensate when the user is moving backwards, sideways, running, crawling, or just fidgeting in place. The NAViSEER can be directly interfaced to most digital radios and GPS receivers – and optionally can be ordered with an internal GPS receiver.  NAViSEER is a reliable GPS supplement for personnel on foot. The result of the SEER advancements in inertial navigation tracking is accurate positioning to within 2% of distance traveled – a capability not found in any other small scale, portable device.  Successful systems integration of inertial navigation in past programs has demonstrated that a reliable navigation supplement for personnel does not require sensors on the legs or feet, and can readily co-exist with equipment normally carried by a soldier or other user. NAViSEER devices provide real time location data via radio back to C2 computers equipped with Geographical Information Systems (GIS)-based 2D or 3D visualization software. SEER3D software instantly generates 2D and 3D views of buildings and structures that reveal graphical visualization of movement and location for assets equipped with NAViSEER.
